THE SOLAE COMPANY ANNOUNCES RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH LINGUAGEN CORPORATION
Agreement comes in recognition of increasing consumer demand for products that contain the many health benefits of soy protein but also taste great

St. Louis, (October 2, 2003) – The Solae Company, a leader in high-quality soy ingredient research and production, has announced an agreement with Linguagen Corporation, top researchers in flavor modification, to identify and develop flavor modifiers that will continue to improve the taste of soy protein in order to meet growing consumer demand for healthy yet great-----tasting foods and beverages.

Under the agreement, Linguagen will conduct research and development in the field of flavor discovery and modification. Based on achievement of specific research milestones, both companies may agree to commercialize these flavor-modifying compounds.
