Torkel Rhenman
CEO

Torkel Rhenman is CEO of Solae. He joined DuPont in 1986 in sales and marketing at DuPont Scandinavia. His career has included sales, marketing, manufacturing and management positions in Sweden, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan and the United States.

In June 2001, he transferred from Europe to the United States and assumed the role of global business director for Nordel® and added the responsibility for the Engage® business in 2004. In 2005, he became the global technology and strategic planning director, DuPont Performance Elastomers.

In 2006 he became global business director Packaging & Industrial Polymers, based in Wilmington, Del. He was named to his current in February 2008.

Mr. Rhenman graduated with a M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from The Royal Institute of Technology of Stockholm, Sweden in 1986.

Patricia Fish
Vice President, Human Resources

Patty Fish oversees The Solae Company's global human resources function. She has oversight responsibility for talent acquisition, development, and compensation and benefits programs to enhance employee engagement.

Prior to joining Solae, Patty was Vice President of Human Resources with Steris Corporation, and held various positions in Human Resources with Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, Rehab Group Incorporated, and Bio-Merieux-Pierre Fabre.

Patty holds two graduate degrees – a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in management consulting and a master’s degree in social work from Washington University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Kent State University.

Michele Fite

Vice President, Strategy

Michele Fite oversees The Solae Company’s global marketing and strategy functions. In this role, Michele is responsible for all of Solae’s corporate branding and identity, integrated marketing, and public relations efforts worldwide.

Previously, Michele was Vice President of Specialties at American Greetings and held various positions with Tapper, Inc., and Sunmark Inc./Nestle Division.

Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Oklahoma.

Steve Fray
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Steve Fray oversees The Solae Company’s financial control and treasury functions.
As Chief Financial Officer, he helps ensure that the organization accurately measures and appropriately manages risk.

Steve was formerly Vice President of Finance/Global Controller for Thermadyne Holdings Corporation and served in various finance/controller roles at NN, Inc. Emerson Electric Co., and IMI/Norgren.

A Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Rockford College.

Cornel B. Fuerer
Vice President and General Counsel
Cornel B. Fuerer, an attorney, is Solae’s General Counsel, Secretary of the Board and Chief Compliance Officer. Cornel safeguards the company’s competitive position by managing risk, protecting intellectual property and championing Solae’s high ethical standards. Prior to joining Solae he served as Corporate Counsel for several DuPont affiliates in Europe and Asia-Pacific. Cornel earned his law degree from the University of Geneva School of Law and also holds a masters degree from the New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Switzerland and in New York State.

Jonathan McIntyre, Ph.D.

Jonathan Mcintyre oversees The Solae Company’s research and development, quality assurance and regulatory affairs functions. Jon has responsibility for the research activities around the world, with the dual objectives of providing leading-edge innovative products to our customers and creating new business opportunities for Solae.

Jon was formerly Chief of Development and Operations at Auxeris Therapeutics and previously served as Chief Scientist at Monsanto Protein Technologies.

He earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Grove City College.

Miguel Oliveira, Ph.D.
Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific

Miguel de Oliveira oversees The Solae Company’s business functions in Asia Pacific. He is responsible for customer acquisition, retention and growth, as well as the overall operations of the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining Solae he was Chief Operating Officer for the ingredients division of Bunge.

Miguel earned his Ph.D. in food engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology, and holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Brazil’s Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).

R. Michael Reed
Vice President, Six Sigma and Facilities

Michael Reed oversees The Solae Company’s “Lean Sigma” program. He also oversees the company’s St. Louis area facilities, including its global headquarters in downtown St. Louis.

Mike held several executive positions at the legacy Protein Technologies International and DuPont Protein Technologies, and played a lead role in establishing and expanding The Solae Company’s manufacturing footprint in China.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Purdue University.

Reinhart Schmitt, Ph.D.
Regional Vice President, Europe

Reinhart Schmitt oversees The Solae Company’s business functions in Europe. He is responsible for customer acquisition, retention and growth in the European region.

Reinhart was formerly Global Business Director Automotive Plastic Coatings for DuPont Performance Coatings and held various positions in DuPont.

Reinhart earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Physics and holds a bachelors degree in Chemistry from Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany.

Paul Bossert, Jr.
Vice President, Operations and Commodity Business

Paul Bossert, Jr., oversees Solae’s worldwide manufacturing, supply chain and sourcing functions. In this role, he is responsible for building and maintaining a world-class supply chain that most efficiently procures and converts resources, managing costs while consistently delivering added value to Solae customers. Paul worked with DuPont for 33 years in operations management, plant management, supply chain management, and as North America Opertaions Director, Safety & Protection. Paul holds a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Indiana Institute of Technology and attended The Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of Business.

Gregory P. Warner, Ph.D.

Sr. Vice President, North America Commercial, Latin America and South Africa

Gregory Warner oversees The Solae Company’s business functions in North America, Latin America and South Africa and is responsible for driving top and bottom-line growth in some of the organization’s most promising emerging markets.

Prior to this position, Greg served as Senior Vice President of global research and development, where he led the integration of four research and development groups during the formation of The Solae Company.

Greg earned his Ph.D. in biological chemistry from the University of South Carolina and holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and biology from West Chester University.
