Sarah Martin
Senior Director – Technology & Innovation
Sarah Martin oversees Solae's Applied Research function. She is responsible for Solae's Research and Development Portfolio & Project Management, Applied Technology, Process Improvement and Quality functions worldwide.
From 1997 to 2005, Martin was the technology manager for the Process Chemistry group at DuPont Dow Elastomers, LLC. This group developed new catalyst and process technology that maximized asset output and manufacturing facility profitability.
From 2005 to 2008, Martin acted as the senior leader of chemistry and catalyst research for The Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas. This group delivered value-added technology through discovery research and new product development.
Immediately prior to joining Solae, Martin was director of Research & Development for India, Middle East and Africa for The Dow Chemical Company. In this role, she interacted with non-governmental organizations, media and government officials at the local, state and country level to improve Dow's image in India and accelerate the development of Dow's research facilities. She was also heavily involved in negotiating research agreements with key Indian universities.
Martin graduated with a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Baylor University.
